The formula for creating trust in digital government
In just a decade, Estonia went from low trust to a global leader in digital public services. Watch this keynote from FWD50, where Andres Raieste, Senior Vice President of the Public Sector at Nortal, shares how bold policies and trust shaped the country’s success.
In brief
Estonia, along with several other Nordic countries, is consistently ranked as number one in delivering digital public services with high public approval and trust. While the e-Estonian story is widely known, what’s much less recognized is how the country transformed from a society with very low trust to one with high trust in just a decade. In fact, Estonia’s tax administration is one of the most trusted government institutions, second only to those responsible for saving lives.
The unique trust policy and its smart implementation strategy have been the driving forces behind Estonia’s digital transformation, making everything possible.
